Pamela Wenzel, Ph.D.
Pamela Wenzel is Assistant Professor of Pediatric Surgery and Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center, McGovern Medical School. She also serves as Director of the Immunology Graduate Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
Miguel Diaz, B.s.
Miguel Diaz is a high-level research technician with 20+ years of experience. He is motivated to constantly pursue experimental consistency and attention to detail in achieving credible and reproducible data. He manages the laboratory and provides support to trainees.
Paulina Horton, B.S.
Paulina Horton is a second-year graduate student in the Immunology Program pursuing research to address how early precursors of the hematopoietic stem cell generate energy and metabolize fuels to ensure self-renewal and multipotency.
Megan Livingston, M.S.
Megan Livingston is a second-year graduate student in the Biochemistry and Cell Biology Program. She is utilizing pluripotent stem cells to model blood development under various conditions of mechanical force. She is especially interested in understanding how mitochondria, the energy producing organelles of the cell, remodel in response to shear stress.
